I'm not sure anything came out of the original Road to Lisp survey except smugness and self-patting-on-the-back-look-at-how-smart-I-am-because-I-use-Lisp-ness.
I agree. The original road to lisp is a prime example of confirmation bias. While a small fraction of the responses are nuanced, most of them are simply along the lines of "lisp rocks."
