Selling some Tesla stock and raising investment. He didn’t say it would be a Twitter phone. He said he would make it, which presumably means starting a new company.
no, they're sharks, cold, unfeeling and calculating. This outrageous statement gets people agitated and reading news. It doesn't matter that he has a long track record of lying, nor that such an fact, even if true, is inconsequential for everyone, because people are idiots and they're attracted to the wrong things.
I find he treads in the "is he joking or isn't he?" space in the same way Trump always does. Everything is partly a troll, which allows many interpretations of his words. It's overall disingenuous. But it also allows folks who love him to read whatever they want into what he says; whatever puts him in the best light.
FWIW I don't think it's intentional on his part (or Trump), it's just the high status, narcissistic shitposter's way. The world loves it, except for those who hate it, but the haters just prove that the shitposter has always been right.
The point is that journalists formed this whole story from a tweet. Elon probably spent less than 15 seconds thinking about it before he threw that tweet out. The journalists that treat this like a real story are insanely gullible.
Well your first point was that he’s joking but now the point is that he didn’t think it through and the journalists are “gullible”
I agree articles like this based on a tweet are bad, but your reasoning here keeps shifting. This is pretty common imo for folks who are pro Elon. I’m curious if you think there’s any context where what he says or tweets should be taken literally?
Then let’s hope Twitter is kicked out. Musk starting some real competition would the best thing for the industry. This is the correct way to deal with the duopoly. Maybe Epic can go in on it with him.

By "they" i mean the CIA, they always hated RIM for building their own secure network
Damn, i loved BlackBerry phones so much.. Bold 9700 was my all time favorite, i'm curious to see how this story will develop

I hope he doesn't use Android as a base.
Ok, well, that's some sort of creation, but probably not the kind people think about the word generally.
