Really cool idea, like the thought. Ot feels stupid to get one or two or three though. So like, were ot not sold out, spend $1250+ for a kitsch cute little music doodad?

This is both what makes Teenage Engineering great, but also iconifies the inherent excess of the brand.

Sell the whole kit for $800. That's where I think this transits from a fuck-off rich-boy toy to something worthy of merit based on value. That said, the volume is just going to be low, period. Charging way too much is semi-necessary?

Well they’re all sold out anyway, so it’s moot! Possibly a tiny run just for funsies.
Like (almost) everything else they make, I want it, have no need for it, and can’t afford it.

Some of the pocket stuff is pretty affordable though.

$250 for a bluetooth speaker with a midi api and some turned and milled wood, unbelievable.
