Obviously not true. I've purchased lots of things for cheaper than they have been all year. It's completely illegal in Europe to claim a discount that isn't actually discounted from the genuine historical RRP. Maybe things are different in the USA?
I agree. The concept of "black friday" is not the same anymore and most of the best deals can be found on the days prior to the actual date. For example, NordVPN is running a discount offer (in fact, VPN services run discounts most of the year but whatever) for a 63% discount. A week ago, they already had a "black friday special offer" for a 68% discount. So, probably check those offers before the actual day.
Related: the German version of bookdepository has a feature that show the lowest price of the last 30 days. Probably has to do with some German legislation, but it's awesome
I was hoping to buy a new GPU, but stock levels still haven't recovered, at least in Canada. I'm not going to pay $1000+ for an RX 6800. I guess I will be waiting until December when the 7900 series releases and see how stock looks then.
