Job Hooks
Write a function that parses, filters, and sorts job postings for you
After three weeks of searching and parsing job postings, I figured as a developer there must be a better way to ingest this information. I started working on Job Hooks to solve three main pain points for me:
Instead of visiting multiple job boards, the jobs are now sent directly to me.
There is no need to read and filter each new job posting manually, instead, I can set up a series of rules to filter jobs in real-time
I can decide when to review the information. I can get instant emails or daily/weekly/monthly digests which is great for passive job searching. Jobs that I might be interested in or want to monitor I can add to lists to review later.
Job Hooks is still being tested and the hardest part is obtaining the job postings from the various sites. The basics are up and running and it's looking very promising so look out for a beta release very soon.
