I mean "holy cow, not again" is a pretty low value comment, but what else is there to say at this point?
I'm lazy enough that I haven't moved off of them yet, but last time I promised myself "fool me one more time..." I take it Bitwarden is the current go-to for cloud based password storage?
Maybe, I switched myself and family to bitwarden. Once I did the transition I realized how easy it was. I spent maybe 5-10 minutes to help my mom transition.
tldr:
1) Create bitwarden account
2) Export file in Lastpass
3) Import file in bitwarden
it's not that easy since not all the information (e.g., additional fields for some sites) gets exported, so you still need to do manual check to avoid losing access (and of course you don't remember which sites you had those fields set up). So it's still risky to delete LP after the switch
I use 1Password since moving off LastPass (I left them ages ago in "protest" of them closing down Xmarks) and have been very happy with it... is Bitwarden better..?
I use both 1Password and Bitwarden, plus like you I was someone who migrated from LastPass to 1Password.
I'd say personally I feel 1Password is a better product, it is just more logical for me separating out the passwords I manage for clients into Vaults that I can share either single passwords or their entire Vault with them should they move to another supplier.
Tags are a great feature in 1Password that I miss in Bitwarden. 1Password's app and addons for Android & Firefox, respectively, edge Bitwarden too.
However I do and will continue to support Bitwarden for it's open source attitude.
