Coin to coin transactions are cheap enough but coin to fiat or vice versa both carry a 1% charge with Moonpay liquidity provider.
This may not be the full story. They mention a "dynamic network fee" and liquidity providers often find it difficult to resist the urge to hide/embed additional percentages in their international exchange rates. Also, it appears that liquidity service is limited to US/EU/UK.
Not much info as to how their collateralization can be verified.
