I wanted to post this, as more people are activating their blogs. I don't see any downsides, but there might be some like what if he gets a lot of bot followers? I wonder how this will tax his server if he gets e.g. 100k followers, 1 million followers etc?
It will increase your blogs visibility across the Fediverse, so that surely is good. Right now Luca Hammer's blog has thousand or so followers in Fediverse.
I could not find a way to list followers on his page, but bunch of them are visible from mastodon.social if you have account there.
One upside I see that people can discuss your blog entry in Fediverse, and it's possible to do that you simply favorite replies to make them visible on your blog page. Making comment section to work in Fediverse in effect.
