Hmm good point. Though the delta between “man made and leaked from a lab” and “not man made but leaked from a lab” seems… trivial.

It was not too long ago that discussion of the lab leak hypothesis would be screamed down by either zealots taking orders from mainstream media or state agents of disinformation. Not that the difference matters.

But they also say he worked at "New York-based" EcoHealth -- and then later that that nonprofit "helped the Wuhan lab put together" some research.
Would the headline feel different if it read, "Covid was man-made virus, says scientist who worked briefly at Wuhan lab sometime between 2014 and 2016."
