Ask HN: Are there some IDEs based on a VSCode Extension?

Hi HN ! I'd like to know if any project that wanted to created a new programming language (or a similar goal) ever did the whole work by implementing VSCode extensions ? So that it would leverage an existing code editor / IDE that is highly customizable, without reinventing the wheel, etc.
