Ask PG: Can we get notifications for when someone replies to our comments?

It's a bit bothersome to have to check the "threads" page to see if anyone replied to my comment. Is it possible to get a "notifications" link in the breadcrumbs that lets us know of any replies to comments? I would have written a plugin to do it but I view this site a lot on my phone so I can't do much about it there.
