Is he basically saying "I only want to support platforms that censor anyone with viewpoints I disagree with"? If not, then what's the difference between that and what he is saying?
The platform is supposed to provide him value, it should not be the other way around. Is it wrong for an individual like Elton John to choose to distance himself from a platform that allows, in his view, things that are harmful?

If the platform makes him feel uneasy, he is well within his rights to simply leave it. Leaving the platform is the way he exercises his own freedom of speech.

"Will this community provide me value?" is the question I seek for any social network I consider getting into. It's the reason I stopped using Facebook. Too many angry people posting things I didn't like.

I have never asked for their censorship. Let them continue talking, I simply do not want to listen. I have that right.
