Very curious to see what this means for ROS.
It boggles my mind that more people aren't talking about this.

I work in robotics and seeing an Alphabet moonshot come out of nowhere to take a controlling interest in OSRC is fascinating. Even validating for those who are working on enterprise-focused solutions for robotics makers and integrators.

It seems to me that Intrinsic (and probably Alphabet as a whole) are getting wise to the big uptick in commercial robotic services that we are going to see over the next couple decades.

consolidating whole ecosystem under their own hands. hope it's going to be beneficial for ros. also now they seem to own both mujoco (deepmind) and gazebo (ros) after this deal
