Safari is new IE, but 10x worse.
Safari suffers from the way it’s released. Updates are tied to OS updates.

A lot of the stuff going on with Safari is positive for users. I don’t want Chrome on my computer, let alone my phone.

I am following multiple bug reports from 2017...

5 years and still no fixes.

I agree that Safari updates tied to OS is bad, but it is even worse when there are no bugfixes in 5 years.

They’ve definitely fixed things in the last 5 years. What’s broken?
* Pan & zoom creates all kind of memory leaks and rendering issues.

* Loading 5+ images at same time (few millisec) then it also crashes web pages. Images do not have to be big, but it is timing issue.

* Geolocation API loses connection and unable to reconnect in PWA after screen lock or app change.

Those are few examples.

Do you have test cases for these? Pages which show the bugs
https://bugs.webkit.org/

All bug reports are confirmed there but no fixes.

You can report those bugs but if it is more complicated then Apple does not have staff to fix those.

By bug reports there are like 2 or 3 people working on fixing bug.
