Actually think ML has only had a negative impact on their search products, regular google is worthless to find the answer to a question without adding site:reddit.com, Google Images and reverse image search are a sad shadow of their former selves and are outperformed by Yandex of all things because their team got more excited about identifying objects with ML rather than trying to match the image via outside data and never sat down and realized the old method did the job better than the fancy new method.
