Received a plea via a new browser window for donations when opening Thunderbird yesterday. It worked, I donated a few bucks. I thought it may have been mentioned on HN before now.
Would consider doing so if Thunderbird would support Google's native Gmail API, which is similar to Fastmail's JMAP, and which vastly improves on the poorly conceived and thoroughly outdated IMAP protocol.
