Yes exactly, he's way out of his depth on this one. Can't be a very enjoyable experience for him. Would probably be humbling for anyone else, can see why he wants out though.
Twitter has showed us more about who Musk is. Can't put that cat back in the bag. I wouldn't be surprised to find him step down from all his roles and just try to run things in the background.
I doubt it. This is Team A vs Team B. It wouldn't change a single heart. People would still like or hate him. This is what Trump meant that he could shoot a child and people wouldn't care.
So, I kind of thought that, initially, but he seems to have managed to piss off quite a lot of people who were singing his praises a month ago. I assume there's always be _some_ people who think he's a magical genius, but that belief does seem to have been maybe more mutable than I'd have expected.
He should delegate control of Twitter to a company secretary and return to the real business of launching and landing the Starship now that SpaceX can launch three rockets in thirty-six hours without him.
...just in time for people to realize that Starlink is:
a) Most of the mass SpaceX has launched to orbit
b) Not on track to ever be profitable
Seriously though, it would be more just for Elon to take the blame for what will happen when people realize he made a Space Spruce Goose, than to blame Gwynne Shotwell, who ran Falcom 9 really well.
1) He will claim that the poll was manipulated by bots and thus he doesn't have to respect the result.
2) He will step down and appoint a prominent far-right personality as Twitter's new CEO, in keeping with his vague threat to "be careful what you wish for" and his seemingly all-consuming need to own the libs.
Where did he claim this? I have never seen him make any claims except that impressions are down on seeing spam (i.e. there are still bots but fewer of their posts are being displayed).
Dictators shield every decision with "public opinion", but forgot to mention that public opinion they write themselves.
Like what is coincidence that when Tesla stocks flops, Tesla investors want musk to get out from twitter ceo and some poll that is controlled by musk say people want him leave.

I personally don't care, but I smell shenanigans.
Often attributed to Joseph Stalin, amongst others, though Thomas Nast seems to be the actual source in 1871, with the version:
Boss Tweed: "As long as I count the Votes, what are you going to do about it? say?"
