Are we really so fragile as a society that any offense is worth cancelling the full accomplishments of an individual that, factually, led the integration of NASA and helped the US Space program immeasurably?
Are we that poisoned that we will stop at nothing to erase our past? I myself can point to many wrongs done to my ancestors with a ‘present-ist’ lens - should I be actively seeking to destroy those people and institutions despite any positives?
We all live in glass houses, the last thing we should be encouraging is throwing stones. Especially stones with terrible, atrocious pasts like ‘social justice’.
"Did the former had of NASA discriminate against gay people?"
I'm so sick of this raige-bait posturing by large corporations, that I don't even care about the rest of the article. I'm not going to read it, and I don't give one damn if the answer to that question is yes or no.
When all you wield is a hammer, everything looks like a nail.
I now absolutely cannot stand being pandered to. If I'm watching a show and a black|gay|female character pops up, or me2|lgtbq÷|'struggles of woman' is mentioned in the spirit of wokism, I turn it off. I completely support it all but I'm just sick of having it pushed tasteslessly in my face. It's always subpar acting/writing and it feels like a cheap trick by the producers.
Which corporation? If you had read the article, you would fine that it comes down on the side of Webb and of his advocate, and leaves the anti-Webb camp looking at best silly--though it does not explicitly say they are.

There's a huge difference between celebrating and remembering the past. Naming a telescope, or putting statues in public places, are celebrations.
Remembering (and erasing) the past is the domain of textbooks, documentaries, and museums. This isn't about that.
