He's quitting when he "finds a replacement" and will still own the company and run the "software and servers" of the company. Yeah, that's not really quitting, that's getting a fall guy.
Why does that matter, he owns it. Why is everybody so emotionally invested in how much control Elon has over a website that he owns? There are a lot of websites.
