What people do outside ... somewhere else should not matter if you feel your own opinion is secure. In other words, ignore the site if you must.

If people arrive here with dubious intent, then no doubt they'll suffer the same fate as anyone else acting like a JERK.

If your opinion is being attacked, well everyone is entitled to an opinion, and nothing is stopping anyone replying so long as it abides by the TOS and etiquette -- of course sometimes a reply is a fruitless venture and Jerks and Trollers alike can mistake a few lines as having seriously annoyed that person.

As a side note, I used back in the mid 00's hang around and then mod at a site where pretty much focused on discussing various online communities ... most members sat around with popcorn and posted links to other forums where people were losing their sh't. We had Brawl-Hall arrive once ... but few squeaked, though there was one mod who did something disappointing but otherwise they soon got bored and left.
