Four years ago, I launched my sci-fi anthology podcast The Program right here on Hacker News.
Since then The Program received half a million downloads and achieved a few other notable milestones. I share these in a series of annual reports, the latest of which was released today.
My goal with these articles is to share my journey in hope it helps those on a similar path. Because of this, I am more transparent than I've noticed is the norm... And definitely more brutal about the downsides! But I think that's precisely what gives it value. Last thing anyone needs is more entrepreneurship porn.
The Program was the first podcast that I ever subscribed to. I now listen to lots of podcasts and am grateful to The Program for getting me onboard the audio train. I actually enjoyed The Program so much that I cold emailed the creator and offered to have my startup sponsor an episode. It's been super fun working with IMS over the last few years and seeing what he has accomplished!
