> The bigger revelation was that the Democrats and Twitter conspired to not only silence political opponents running for office

Except that that didn't happen.

> but a sitting president that didn't actually violate any of the rules.

Are we even on the same planet?

> This is total government corruption and the real threat to our Democracy.

Unlike, say, encouraging/organizing an insurrection. Denying election results?

Really, what's in it for you to stick to this in light of all of the actual evidence, rather than the non-revelations from Twitter?

I think you managed to find your way onto the wrong website somehow. Please take your conspiracy nonsense somewhere else, thank you.
Nice, instead of considering the possibility and doing a 10sec goggle search, you brand me a conspiracy nut. And invite me to leave. This response could be characterized as promoting division.

Avoiding critical thinking is a serious problem in todays society. Instead of considering the possibility and perhaps expending a trivial amount of mental effort, you accept what you've been spoon-fed as fact.

I find this humorous as your profile says your company performs "Due Diligence" for other companies.

Yes, I'm inviting you to leave. There are plenty of websites where you can feel warm and cozy with idiocy like this but I would much prefer it if HN did not go in that direction.

If you seriously believe nobody died on Jan. 6th last year and that everybody that does not readily agree with your nutty conclusions must be psy-op'd or lacks critical thinking skills then you have problems. But I'd prefer them to stay your problems and not to spill over into this community.

>I saw a senator taking about Jan 6@US Capital a few days ago. He was talking about the violence, and the 5 people who died there. Please find a list of the 5 people.

Ummm...ok?

- Ashli Babbitt, an Air Force veteran, was fatally shot by a Capitol Police officer as rioters tried to breach the House chamber.

- Kevin D. Greeson died of a heart attack, collapsing on the sidewalk west of the Capitol on Jan. 6.

- Rosanne Boyland appeared to have been crushed in a stampede of fellow rioters as they surged against the police.

- Benjamin Philips, the founder of a pro-Trump website called Trumparoo, died of a stroke.

- Officer Brian D. Sicknick of the Capitol Police, who was attacked by the mob, died on Jan. 7.

Any other low-IQ questions you would like easy-to-find answers to?

> a sitting president that didn't actually violate any of the rules.

Oh come on. I read the news, watched TV. This directly contradicts what I saw and read.

Are you a Russian propaganda account?

One wonders if the FBI has a right to exist after something like this, or instead should be disbanded and absorbed into other agencies.
TFA> Musk and right-wing media continue to take relatively mundane procedures, such as a company receiving reimbursement for processing legal requests, and put them in the worst possible light, portraying them as nefarious.

Edit: 3.4M/44B ~= 0.00008, or 0.008%; roughly 0.

If the FBI was asking Musk’s Twitter to respond to legal requests without financially covering the administrative overhead costs, he’d be screeching about having to ‘finance the deep state bureaucracy’ or something similar.

Instead, the FBI covering the overhead costs of Twitter responding to their inquiries is “paying for censorship”.

Either way, Musk gets to rile up people who believe his narrative.

And it gets lapped up and amplified all over the web.
Anyone reading the files and ignoring both Musk and the corporate-owned media would arrive at a similar conclusion.

You need to do some mental gymnastics to assume this stuff is OK.

In 2014 we learned that the NSA paid RSA $10 million to put a backdoor into their encryption products. This stuff is not new.

What's up with all these new pro-Musk accounts pushing conspiracies on HN? It is almost like the real conspiracy is who is bot-farming for Musk?
Indeed, and it would be great if it was just new accounts but there are also accounts that have been around for years that suddenly spout nothing but conspiracy nonsense while claiming the rest of us lack critical thinking skills and/or are shills for the FBI or have been brainwashed. It's getting really annoying.

I've seen one community be destroyed like this (an alternative energy community focused on solar and wind power was overrun by 'over unity' idiots and allowed to run amok because they kept buying expensive magnets which the forum owners were selling). And I really would like HN to stay sane.
