i have been contemplating submitting to ublock cosmetics repo this abomination but never pushed for it. maybe i was not the only one
These popups "Sign in Symbiote!" prompted me to set up Container Tabs on Firefox to isolate Google services from everything else.

I find it creepy when some random website shows a popup containing my real name.

Why do these popups exist? Can google not track me without them since i normally am logged in to Google anyways?
Good: users have requested "back-up" emails in case they forget the one they signed up with, and some prefer the Google UX to whatever shitty auth the site hand-rolled

Bad: We want more of your info

Yes, Google Analytics can track you without logging into Google.

UX that shows a "login with Google!" popover for a user that's already logged in immediately get added to the `display: none` list

that sounds like a really good idea, you shouldnt have to sign in more than once in a session, if you do have to, something is amiss!

ubiquitous sign-in demands create what amounts to a smokescreen for eviltwin popups, allowing hats to phish for google sign-in creds...at scale

Given that google.com/Manage My Account/Security/Signing in with Google/Google Account sign-in prompts doesn't seem to do what you would think it does (I still get "sign in with google" prompts despite the toggle being "off"), this might be worth a look.
Funny coming from the people who helped spread Bing trackers for years
This might work across all sites.

div#credential_picker_container { display:none !important; }

It would be more accurate for the title to say "duckduckgo extension".

It's ironic that commentary about how much screen the google popup takes is on a website with a video window that takes up about a third of the screen on mobile.
