I've just had to wipe my laptop and start over. Why do I have to download some software that will download a download manager so I can download drivers? Arrgh!

Why is there even the option to do anything other than a direct download? Heck, why does he even need to bother with drivers? This isn't his fault. It's poor design.
Calm down. I know of direct download. I hoped their manager would figure out which drivers would need to be downloaded.
I'm not complaining about the manager, I'm just curious as to why there needs to be so many steps. A better design would be to take my service tag and offer a zip containing the exact drivers I need.
