Poll: Would you pay for a subscription to HN?

After posting and reading the Christmas thread, and reading the other one, and seeing responses like "I really love this community", "I don't care if any place on the internet disappears except this one", and "I'm so grateful for this community and its discussions", and remembering that YC says "Make stuff people want"--I'm just curious--(have no idea if this is in any way a plan of YC)--would you pay for a subscription?

If you want to, say in the comments how you think it should be priced.

Payed subscription would alter the whole demographic of the site and HN itself. I don't know if I would pay for the new site but most certainly not.

I mean, why would people pay for the site? What perks would they get? For most people, it would simply mean that there are less posters, less content? It would change the makeup of the site and not in a good way. It's not like the signal to noise ratio is bad here, so we don't need to "weed" anyone or anything out. I'm inclined to say no as I just don't see a valid need or reason for it.

There is an option I think for employers to pay to list jobs.
