Ask HN: How do you search your Google MyActivity takeout HTML file

I just downloaded my Google "MyActivity" takeout html file (it's a file of all your activity on Google and Chrome that you can download for yourself. It's an HTML file).

It was multiple hundreds of MB in size.

I opened it in Notepad++ and searched for "etymology". I'm an etymology junkie. And was amazed at how many word/phrase origins I had searched for that I couldn't even remember searching for.

The problem was that it was very very slow. I didn't expect Notepad++ to choke on such a large file, but it did. (It wouldn't open in Chrome, it froze Chrome.)

Any thoughts on what app I should open it in if all I want to do is text search?
