I just saw this circulating on Twitter, are companies like Revolut legally allowed to do things like this?
Because this is Tristan Tate who is currently udner investigation for sex trafficking with his brother Andrew Tate.

Likely Revolut had no power to release the funds because of some governmental body request in Romania.

Tate literally admits to lying in the Twitter thread, don't believe a single word they say.

Thanks for posting context. I was pretty annoyed at Revolut after reading the twitter thread but didn't know about this part of the situation. Of course, it's not obvious from the twitter thread at all.

Of course it’s legal, they’re doing it because it’s criminal money and the government wants it held
This guy just got arrested this morning in Romania for sex trafficking. He's been under investigation for more than a year, so I would say, yeah, sounds legal.

This really has no reason to be on the HN page
