It seems there's some servere issues with NVIDIA Drivers on Windows which is causing high latency for many users. The issue seems to be that there's a high DPC routine execution time in the module nvlddmkm.sys which causes the aforementioned latency spikes. The problem is reported by lots of users with different hardware specs. It doesn't seem to be either Intel or AMD specific. The only thing all users seem to have in common is using Windows with a NVIDIA GPU. Until today neither Microsoft nor NVIDIA seem to be aware about this issue. I wish someone could raise some awareness about this issue with either of the companies, as this is an issue which is making Music Production on modern Windows almost impossible due to crackles, dropouts and other annoying issues. If you know anyone working at Microsoft or NVIDIA, I'd be super happy if you could point them towards the thread I've linked. Thanks!
