CTO of an international fintech start-up. Neither shy of taking on responsibilities over a team or product nor getting my hands dirty in a role as a dev. Worked for some years in the financial sector as a fullstack engineer, including DevOps- and security-related topics.

This is my first CV in my role as a non-dev, so feedback is very welcome :)

Not a recruiter but a current CS undergrad and your skill areas really resonated with me - GPU programming, HPC and scientific programming, and Audio/DSP are all things I wanna explore. Do you have any advice on where I should focus my efforts to get better in these areas? I've been looking into books and resources, and I'm not sure if I can pursue something like DSP on my own time without enrolling in formal college courses because ironically enough I'm a bit scared of math.

I am looking for a front-end or full-stack (FE focused) role that is fully remote.

I also do freelance jobs and worked in international teams. I'm looking for an environment that values autonomy, work-life balance and provides challenges and room for growth. I would like to keep specializing and lean towards backend would also be very interesting. Reach out if you think that I am a good fit.

P.S. please, avoid clicking the red button.

I have 10 - 20 hours per week and I'm looking to build experience in tech by working on a project. Direct remuneration is not a priority (unpaid is a possibility). I would be happy to work on open source, or on commercial software. I'd love to chat to companies/other developers and would be happy to prove my skills/potential. I'm familiar with source control, testing and other general software development tools/methods so I'd hope to be up and running quickly.

    Résumé: https://www.bencide.com/resume.pdf

I'm a mathematics PhD. All of my PhD work was done in Julia. I'm happy to work in any other language. A sample of my Julia code can be found here [1], and more can be shared in a video chat (my collaborators don't want some of my code public yet).

I'm interested in working with a team where my mathematical background could come in handy, but the problems we solve do not need to be math. I'm happy to work on anything.

I have a broad range of experience across the stack, with a lot of my experience focused on designing and building scalable, robust, and maintainable backend systems that deal with a very high volume of data. I also place a lot of emphasis on building automated CI/CD processes that minimize human error in the development process, and allow developers to focus their attention on the task at hand.

At this point in my career, I'm really only looking for Staff level jobs (or equivalent, titles vary across companies), but I'm open to discussing the options if there's a really interesting opportunity.

I'm not currently interested in working on anything involving cryptocurrency or blockchain, and marketing/advertising focused companies would need to be clearly beneficial to every day people, instead of misusing personal data (which I would be uncomfortable with).
