Stop, I just read a random post from 1999 and seeing this makes me want to go back.
There's a bunch of issues with this one ... for instance, it should load the larger first letters here fine but it does not (http://www.mcom.com/home/welcome.html). The GIF should also be fine. (Mozilla Communications, or MCOM was the first name of Netscape)

You can crack open some wine if you want and try this: http://home.mcom.com/archives/ ... I assure you wine on the win16 binaries is the best chance you'll have unless you genuinely have a vintage machine with a vintage install around.

Go head and try the site again on the actual NS 1.0 and you'll see the issues.

Browser 1 is the actual Netscape 1.0 followed by modern Chrome and then the emulator.

maybe i'm doing something wrong, but when i click a link or enter a url, i always get errors like "Error 500. Dejavu.org 2006-05-10: We are having some problems after a disk failure, will fix asap. Sorry/Pär SSL negotiation failed:"

Not sure...is this a joke because the error message is from 2006?

It's not you, it seems any site that forces HTTPS will fail.
Fond memories! I really liked early Netscape, before it turned, well, really bad (was it 4+? ).

I also remember there were lists of websites in printed (!) magazines.
