I think eventually they will vote McCarthy after he makes some concessions.

While that could happen, Jeffries was a manager on Trump’s first impeachment so I think that would be making quite a statement.

After the midterms, if proximity to Trump had helped certain at-risk seats, then Trump himself could be nominated for Speaker. As of today, Boebert is telling Trump how little influence he has.
