I love how straightforward this is and how you can spin these up ad-hoc, directly from the CLI. Looks super easy to use. It's great to see a flexible tool (and possible escape hatch) included in a first-class way.

That's definitely the idea, to give any user easy to use and compose tools (this builds off all the guix shell and container machinery already).
