If you have a one-time PDF that has to be signed, would you self-host to get it done? My hunch is that open-source solutions may only be useful to businesses. Wdyt?
I typically used email before signing up for Docusign. I pay for that now, despite only needing it a few times a year. Docusign is way easier than email. I even use it when someone sends me a PDF that needs multiple signatures
The hard part with self-hosting is when you have to go to court and prove the documents were signed, though perhaps having emails with attachments is enough?
Are you open to connecting over email? I'm considering digging deeper in the Open Source DocuSign rabbithole and would love to hear your thoughts on needs etc.
Working in support, customers who are upset that it asks them to make an account at the end, and therefore are unsure whether it works without an account. Then they have to call in and ask if their doc was submitted and yell at us for giving them something that says to create an account
