Why isn’t this on the front page? I’ve been wondering what was going on, and had to actually search HN to find it. 11 upvotes in 18 minutes is definitely front page worthy.

Is HN actively nerfing Twitter posts?

Some people flag Twitter/Musk-related stories by their own admission, and flagging affects HN ranking.

There was also a small previous discussion here: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=34363743 (which is also not on front page though)

Because I (and I suspect many others) are tired of the Musk/Twitter drama and flag.

As a general policy, I flag all "X is down" stories, because... who cares? A random company's ops team having a terrible day does not tickle my intellectual curiosity one bit. Complete waste of space.

It's both what r721 said and what kelnos said. Transient "X is down" stories are a dime a dozen and Twitter drama stories are...cheaper than that.

I've made an exception in this case and restored the original submission on this topic to the front page, since people are discussing it anyway.
