I have a book summary app that provides 10-15 minute non fiction book summaries in text, audio, and video format. I let people access 1 book summary for free when they sign up. After that, they have to upgrade. I'm trying to find the best CTA For the landing page. Which one is the best one that you think will lead to the lowest bounce rate and highest engagement. When a user clicks on the CTA, they will go to the list of book summaries page where they can try out one book summary for free.

I’d start with this thought: what can you say that is uniquely you? Test: if any brand could use your headline, it fails.

Who and why would someone want this?

Your CTA should speak to them, well the landing page content should, the CTA is to get them to take the next step in you funnel. What is the step they should be taking next?

Maybe the problem is requiring a sign up without any idea what the summary is like. What if you allow account free access to a sample, then made the CTA to sign up? Do more of your signups now convert to paying users? You might also try having a money back guarantee instead of free trial?

What are you optimizing for now vs what should you be optimizing for actually?
