I was just scanning the repo for create-react-app and see the main branch hasn't been commit to since the beginning of September.

Does anyone have any insight if the project is no longer being maintained?

It's been only loosely maintained over the last couple years. Also, despite the `facebook` org, as far as I know the last couple maintainers were not actually Facebook employees.
