Brief correction, back when the K505RR1 was in production, it was in Kiev, The Ukraine. Not Kyiv, Ukraine.
Well, I'm Ukrainian and right pronunciation is Kyiv, Ukraine. And we don't need some random person from the Internet to convince us that USSR pronunciation was right.
This is a strange comment. The name of the city hasn't changed, it's always been Kiev in Russian and Kyiv in Ukrainian.
It's always been Kiev in English. I have countless books and globes and such with which to prove this.
