Can you please give some insight into how this works? At the 'backend' do you have an army of tailors, or totally computer cut&stich operation or somewhere in between?
How it works is we have tied up with many home based dressmakers. We deliver order we get from online to them . Its like uber of personal dressmaking. it also generates work for many women based entrepreneurs.
Maybe I'm just old fashioned, but I just bring old clothing that I liked to my local tailor and he'll make me brand new replacements that last for years and fit perfectly. Plus his prices are reliably less than 2x of a similar off-the-shelf item, which is a premium I'm happy to pay for handmade quality.
I can attest to the value of bringing in a case of t-shirts to a tailor and having them customize the fit. &8 per shirt and you’ll look smashing.
Like, regular Fruit of the Loom t-shirts? My neighborhood tailor's English isn't the greatest -- what's this service called?
Yes. Though I usually buy slightly nicer black t-shirts. I just ask for the shirts to be tailored to my fit.

I’ve done this at dry cleaners that do alterations, and also at a dedicated tailor who just does tailoring or fit adjustments. I’d probably vouch for the latter a bit more.

Thats great but if you want to have latest design and personal fit you will have a hard time explaining that to your local tailor :)
