The Model Y doesn't offer more range than the Mustang Mach-E. Tesla inflates their EPA numbers. You have to look at real world results:

Weird tests here, I bought a Tesla model y long range last year and can confirm a single charge gets >300 miles in real world driving conditions, not sure where their numbers came from.

In the first link Inside EVs' methodology is described clearly. And the second link is a video by Alex on Autos of a side by side test with a Mustang Mach-E and Model Y driving the same route at the same time.

In both tests the Mach-E gets more range.
