Coming from a more traditional (yet still digital) photography background I think it's fascinating what tricks manufacturers are using to improve image quality. E.g. using the optical image stabilizer to add (!) a bit of camera shake, somewhat increasing the optical resolution.

Is this a common thing for smartphones today? I never heard about that, but it's always hard to decode the marketing speech such as "AI enhanced super resolution".
