Seems simple enough. Ban discrimination on basis of health. If someone is too ill to perform a job, discriminate based on specific job-relevant ablities, not diagnosis name.

That's "technically accurate", but also misleading. Reading the report[1] the differences are not that large. UK scores 60. US, Australia, and France score 61. That's basically in the error bars. New Zealand scores 63, Germany 66, which is position #7 world-wide. Top scorer is Taiwan, with 70. Clearly the UK could be doing better (hardly news for anyone who has had to deal with the NHS), but it's not "zomg, as bad as …!!!" either.
The poll asks women a bunch of questions about the health care; it does not compare this to healthcare men received except for "Negative Emotions experienced" and "Perception of Domestic Violence". Unlike what's suggested in the article, it doesn't really say all that much about "healthcare for women", but rather just about "healthcare".
I don't really have an opinion on the menopause thing as I lack enough knowledge for it, but this really bugged me.
