I am not asking "us" in that sentence though. I am not sure admins will be responding to random questions like mine if i email the question to them.

But it's an interesting question that probably a bunch of us would like to know the answer to, so posting it seems reasonable to me. (Granted, one person could email to ask and then do a "Tell HN".)
There haven't been an email I've sent to HN that haven't gotten a reply.
ok I don't want to reveal my identity. I'll try creating a fake id email and emailing that address. Also is comment history visibility private info that can't be answered publicly ?
No idea. The email is just their preferred communication method. They answer questions about HN in threads time to time, but email is your best bet.
The point is that emailing is something that ends up somewhere they will see it. Random posts just ... don't.
I don't know but they do edit comments and posts made by other users though (They usually indicate that fact when it happens, but not all the time).
I often edit my comments to try to make them less negative or controversial. I often delete them for the same reasons.
