> “warehousing,” the practice by which landlords keep unrented apartments off the market to create artificial scarcity
Seems like a good argument in favor of Georgism.
> their warehoused apartments are in such poor shape that it would be impossible to recoup the cost of necessary repairs at rent-stabilized prices, so they’re holding them vacant until Albany repeals the law.
That law should definitely be repealed too, though.
New York went hard on the propaganda, and world-wide too. I know if I was living there and left, I'd be too disgusted at my world famous city being used to deliver propaganda at my expense. It's often metrics like this that show what's really going on. Here in my country, it's been revealed with government data that 35% of us are unvaxxed, yet the media lied and tried to say that was 5%. Now here you have no one coming back to new york, yet all the brainwashed are unable to put two and two together. Looks like hacker news is doing it's job and socially hacking group opinion.
