I just transitioned from management role to software engineering even though I did my bachelors in CS. Wanted to post some links but HN won't let me. So please upvote so that I can post and participate in the discussion.
It's very strange. HN has a few anti-spam tricks, and sometimes there are false positives. It looks like you already could post one. If you have problems, you should email the mods hn@ycombinator.com . They usually reply very soon.
Don't ask for upvotes. It's a good recipe to get your post flagged.
The comment form a new user that created an account at the same time is very suspicious. Don't try using sockpuppets. The system detect them, users detect them and mods detect them, and your post will get flagged.
I did go through the guidelines but I couldn't find anything mentioned on why I couldn't post even though I am long time lurker. Anyway, I can post now. Thank you for the comment.
