Ask HN: Anyone been able to launch a new product in big tech as an IC?

Anyone got any advice/war stories for building a new product, getting buy-in from leadership, and actually launching in big tech?

I have been trying to navigate it myself and it’s hard to figure out how to actually do it as a normal IC.
