Hello, I'm a software engineer in Vancouver, Canada, looking for cofounder(s) and ideas. I'm working with my friend in Germany on choosing something to work on. He is more focused on marketing. Please let me know if you are interested to know each other.
hi, yes, any help is useful for me, give your contact, email or whatsapp number :)
I set an email address in my profile. Please send me a message. We can find a better means of communication.
great, i sent you an email :)
I suggest both put basic contact info in HN profile, then can remove it later (which you can't do with a comment after certain amount of hours)
You might want to be more specific about what you are looking for.

A technical person? A business person? Someone to help raise funds? Something else?

I'd also suggest looking for someone who wants to do a small project with you around talkfi, maybe for $$, or a slim slim bit of equity. That lets you get to know a possible co-founder (like dating) before becoming true partners (like marriage).

Here's my advice for finding a technical co-founder, but you can probably flip it around if you are looking for a different type of founder: https://www.mooreds.com/wordpress/archives/3445

Also, put contact info in your account profile, otherwise it looks like you are just advertising your product or are new to HN.

Good luck!

thanks i put my contact on my profile and on my post too :)
I just skimmed the TalkFi webpage and Play Store reviews (so many of which have the same writing style and structure) and combined with this post, my “Something Ain’t Right” detector is positively screaming.

I won’t opine on what I think is going on here but… something ain’t right.

Seems OP is not from an American English first nation. The project seems really cool and seems to be about friends and the responses in this thread seem upbeat.

Maybe we can help by providing guidance to cater to us better.

I'll take a stab.

Cultures is a weird word. I'd use the singular.

The landing page is rather short.

There is a gallery but it doesn't slide.

The play store description also has some grammatical differences but maybe that's helping you rank, who knows.

OP, look into Chatgpt3 you can paste your literature to it and it can make it grammaticaly correct.

hi, thanks, yes my first language is Spanish, i need to improve my english, i will use Chatgpt3 to improve the play store description thanks for your advice...
It's a pretty big market. Apps like whisper are terrible and unmaintained but have 10M+ downloads. I would wager that it's apps like these that the average person uses, not the polished ones you see on Product Hunt.

From within the app, looks like most users are South American. Large population, and there's a shortage of apps targeting the region.

This is just my perception, being someone builds for the Indonesian market, and having an app that hit similar numbers without any marketing effort.

yes, mostly the user base are from LATAM and Spain i need help on marketing to get users from other countries thanks for your comment :)
How did you manage to get 1M+ downloads?
Well congrats. Barring any issues re: proving its your app, all users are real etc (2 big IFs!)..., then:

Are you tracking metrics? MAUs, DAUs? Anything like cohort retention (https://docs.holistics.io/docs/charts/cohort-retention)? Are you using DataDog or Amplitude? Additionally, you should post a screenshot of downloads from the Google Play store over time. It can help people here make a decision, since they can see how viral the product is or is not.

And finally, people will want to know, how much $ are you making. Will people pay for this, and WHAT are they paying for? To be connected like a dating app?

It's cool (if the users are actually real), but I feel like it doesn't have a clearly defined way of making money yet. But then again, lots of social apps don't...

thanks for your comment good luck :)
