Unrelated to the article itself, but did anyone else think the tracking permission pop up on this site seemed odd? I don’t think I’ve ever seen it presented as “read for free with ads and tracking, or pay 2€ for Pro without ads and tracking”. There is no “do not accept” or “configure” option.
I’m wrong, you have to click the “here” link in the middle of the light-grey text, which brings you to a page describing the analytics services they use. You then need to click the “cookie settings” button, then click the “details” accordion button in the modal, uncheck all of the options EXCEPT “convenience” as that’s used to store your cookie preferences, then click ”confirm selection”
That’s a lot more commitment to dissuading disabling tracking than normal, bravo outdooractive.com.
