Application Info Across Organization

Curious what you're using (if anything) to keep track of all the software / applications / clients / projects in your organization. Think a large enterprise with hundreds of projects / applications over time.

I'm trying to find a solution to consolidate different factors such as:

- technologies implemented

- a general sense of budgets

- frequency of development tasks like new features, bug fixes, change requests, etc.

With a goal to: - report and search across all these factors

- demonstrate the current landscape

- bring to light any possible technical debt

- align resource skill sets across the applications

- maintaining and refinements of project knowledgebases

Researching different areas around Application Portfolio Management, App Inventory such as:

What are you using? Commercial, Open source, In-house custom dev?

You're going to probably have to use two different sets of software for that.

We use Jira for project management, and then Avolution ABACUS for the actual EA Repository. There's not really a tool that gets "into the weeds' with development and project management, but generally you can import/export relevant info like KPIs and feed roadmaps from ABACUS.
