Ridiculous. They publish these pictures and work their SEO for them to be seen by as many people as possible. Now they’re complaining that the pictures haven’t been seen by a web browser but a neural network that learned from them.

If they were to prevail, copyright would be changed in its very essence. It would morph from a protection of a specific form of personal expression into protection of ideas themselves.

Taking books as an example, authors would be able not only to dictate that you do not re-publish their work verbatim, but that you also do not use the ideas contained in the book in ways that are not covered by the license you paid for.
