But provides access to regular stations, not shortwave stations, am I reading this right?

Also these apps always have the same issue for me: they collect links of streams that more often than not (in my experience) won’t load, or just play ads. Not sure how to go around that.

Love streaming radio. I've been using streamtuner2 mostly, but sometimes strawberry or even VLC to listen to internet radio.

VLC has a shoutcast built in, Playlist->Service discovery->Shoutcast.
